English Grammar Articles A, An, The Use- Article is not a distinct part of speech, but a kind of Adjective.

Definite Demonstrative- when the Adjective points to some particular person or thing, it is called a Definite Demonstrative.
Indefinite Demonstrative- when Adjective does not point to any particular person or thing, it is called an Indefinite Demonstrative.
Definite Indefinite
The A, An;
This, That, these, those, Any, one, certain, such, the same, the other. Some, other, another.
Articles- "The" is called the Definite Article;
"A" Or "An" the Indefinite Article.
But "The" is only a shorter form of 'this', 'that', 'these' , 'those' ; and "A" Or " An" is only a shorter form of 'one'.
English Grammar Articles Use
Article 'A', 'An', and 'the' used before noun.
Uses of Article 'A'-
'A' is always used before a consonant, which is singular count noun.

Sometimes 'A' is placed before vowel which is also singular count noun.
'A' is placed Before the vowel 'u', when 'u' is sounded as yoo ;
Example- A university

'A' is also placed before the vowel 'O' when 'O' sounded as 'one ' .
Example- A one -eyed man
A one-rupee note
A one act play
A one- party rule.
Uses of Article 'An'
' An ' is used before the vowel which is singular count noun.

'An' is also placed before consonant which is singular count noun.
'An' is placed before silent 'h' .
Example- An hour
An honest man
An honourable man
An heir.
When consonant sounded as vowel, there 'An' placed before a consonant.

An S. D. O
An F. R. C. S
An H. S. School
Use of Article "The"
Nationality- The Indian , The Muslims
Party- The Congress, The BJP.
For some country- The USA, The UK, The Punjab,
